The Mirabella V, recently renamed “M5” by her new owner, is the largest single-masted sailing yacht ever built.

In March 2012 she arrived in Falmouth to be refitted by Pendennis Plus. The superyacht is 75m long but part of the refit will see her stern extended by 3m.

She makes a fine sight in the waters off Falmouth as shown on the right.

The sloop’s mast is over 88m tall and you can only really appreciate the scale when she is in close proximity to another vessel.
