Falmouth is the best place to see cruise liners in Cornwall.
The 2013 Cruise ship season begins in Falmouth on the 11th of April with the arrival of the cruise ship Discovery.
There are 34 cruise liner visits to the port scheduled for 2013 with the majority of liners entering the harbour to dock. Here the passengers will be greeted with a warm welcome by some of the 40 strong volunteers known as the Falmouth Cruise Ship Ambassadors.
Some of the larger vessels will anchor in Falmouth Bay from where passengers will be ferried into Falmouth.
An excellent place for visitors to see the arriving and departing ships is from Pendennis Point at the entrance to the Carrick Roads and Fal entrance.
Here there are exceptional views of the Fal Estuary and Falmouth Bay.
Free car parking is close by but can become congested.
One of the most eagerly awaited arrivals will be the return of The World which will dock on the harbour wharf on 17th July.
