Yes, in season, from Whitsun to 1 October, lifeguards are on the beach and safety flags are used to advise swimmers of the safest places to swim.

In most conditions this beach and the nearby waters are sheltered from big swells and safe for swimming but visitors should read the safety notice boards before entering the water and, if in doubt, consult with lifeguards.
