The sheltered waters of Falmouth Bay have a rich diversity of marine life and it is not uncommon to see grey seals, dolphins and porpoises.

Occassionally it is possible to see them from beaches such as Gyllyngvase but to have a better chance take a trip to Pendennis Point, Falmouth at the mouth of the Fal estuary.

The grey seals in the photo were basking on Black Rock between Pendennis Point and St Mawes.

A wildlife guide intended to help visitors to Falmouth get even more from their stay will appear shortly on InCornwall.info
