This white sandy beach is almost a mile wide and very popular with families. The beach faces north east across Carbis Bay and is sheltered from the south-westerly winds that often prevail on this coastline. The small car park nearest the beach is likely to fill up quickly in season and the next nearest parking is further up a fairly steep hill.
Lifeguards: present Whitsun to 1 September (10am to 6pm).
Dogs: banned from sections of the beach Easter Day to 1 October.
