This popular holiday resort’s smallest beach is often overlooked in favour of the towns more famous surf beaches. The beach is sandy and its sheltered shallow waters make it particularly popular with families. In season the harbour is busy with fishing boats, leisure craft and boats offering trips. Seals regularly visit the harbour looking for left overs from the fishing boats. It is worth consulting a tide table before visiting as a high tide can cover most of the beach.
