This one of the Lizards Peninsular’s most popular family beaches. At low tide the sands and rockpools extend into the next bay to the East forming a wonderful expanse of beach. The coastal walk linking the two bays is excellent for wildlife and crosses a stream with nature viewing platforms and winds through one of the few sand dune systems on the Lizard. The access road leading down to the beach car parks is single carriage way and quite steep for walkers descending from the popular camp sites further up the hill.
Lifeguards: May to September, 10am to 6pm on Kennack Sands (West). There is no lifeguard service on the beach to the east.
Dogs: banned from Easter Day to 1 October, 7am to 7pm, on Kennack Sands (West) only.
