This beach is right in front of the village beside the granite pier of the harbour. It is the western end of Porthleven Sands, three miles of sand that extends at low tide past Loe Bar beach and Loe Pool. It is owned by the National Trust and forms part of the Porthleven Cliffs SSSI.
Lifeguards: early July to early September.
Dogs: Easter Day to 1 October, 7am to 7pm. The area from the blue buoy steps towards Loe Bar has no restrictions for dogs.
Parking: in the square in Porthleven.
Refreshements: in the village.
Toilets: near the pier.
